IMG_2870new.jpgAbout the blog: alexwrege.com is a continuation of my previous website that I had since the mid-90s. I kept a home-grown blog on my website, which did not have any engine (Wordpress, Movable Type) installed but used a system that I created. And it was crappy. I don’t really have a blogging philosophy, but I typically post anything that I find interesting. Sometimes I also post stuff out of desperation, when there’s nothing interesting going on.

Apart from WordPress, I also like (and use regularly) Flickr where I post images taken with my Nikon D40x.

About Alex: I was born in Germany where I spend my summers windsurfing and my winters slacking off. In 2002, I moved to Toledo, Ohio and I am full-time faculty at the American Language Institute (A.L.I.) of the University of Toledo (UT). I am in charge of educational technology and teach English to prospective UT students. I am also working on finishing my Ph.D in Philosophy of Education and Applied Linguistics.
