Nokia N93 on the motorscooter

This is a 7 minute video of me driving on my Honda Metropolitan to work. While this is neither the best example of direction or super-interesting, I nevertheless had the urge to film my commute for future generations. It might be important some day. Who knows. At least I know now that the commute from door to door is about 7 minutes. And you get to relive every second right here.

Riding the scooter . . .

This evening, Russ and his two sons Zach and Matthew came over to my office. Russ and I worked on the website for In Factis Pax, while the boys were plotting to convince me to let them ride on my scooter. They succeeded.

Here are some pictures:

And the scooter is pretty again . . .

You might remember that my scooter was stolen twice last year – once in May and once in November. The thieves decided both times to paint it silver (suspicious?) but the second time around in November they did a much better job – everything was silver. After putting this off for far too long, today was the day. There is a reason why it had to be cleaned today, and I’ll tell you about that at some later time.

So, Eli and I spent most of the day removing the paint from the scooter. This turned out to be somewhat of a major undertaking. We used steel wool to get the worst parts off and then we used 600-grit sandpaper. After about seven hours it looked fine.

So, here’s the scooter now:

And this is what it looked like immediately after it was stolen:
