strange maps has this really interesting mashup of a U.S. map:
The creator of this map has had the interesting idea to break down that gigantic US GDP into the GDPs of individual states, and compare those to other countries’ GDP. What follows, is this slightly misleading map – misleading, because the economies both of the US states and of the countries they are compared with are not weighted for their respective populations.

This is the a abbreviation of GNP:-
Gross National Product (abbr.: GNP)

just curious about it
Hey Carlos,
I think that Spain was left out because it’s GPD didn’t match a U.S. state as well as Canada’s. Germany was left out as well, because it’s GDP was too high for a fit, I think the same is true for Spain (Source -Wikipedia):
ok that make sense
so this is just reltive to those countries that the author wants to compare
That’s fine, I thought it was a escale of all countries and things like not having Spain there and also germany, which I couldnt tell because I was looking for Spain as natural, didnt make sense.
Now understand and nothing to say about it
interesting map
